MEET THE COACH

My name is Matt O'Shaughnessy. I have been a strength and conditioning coach for 15 years. Obsessed with athletics from a young age I excelled and became a high-level hockey player only to have my career cut short due to a horrific multi-plane leg break at 16. 

1 year and 60 pounds of fat later I was overweight, extremely out of shape, and had no self-esteem. Being so young I had no idea the state I was in and how overweight I really was. It only took one day to change the course of my life and ignite the passion I have for Training and Athletics. 

 

One beautiful day at the beach and a friends ridicule of my body set in motion my constant thirst for health and fitness knowledge which I pass onto every client I work with.

 

Fast forward 1 year and 18-year-old Matt is on a bodybuilding stage and working as a strength coach for professional and varsity hockey players. 

 

My career has given me the ability to work with a wide range of client types. Whether your goals are to lose fat/ build muscle, improve performance in specific sports, correct muscle imbalances or do corrective strength training with chronic injuries, I have the knowledge to get you there safely and effectively through proper training techniques.
